I’ve been reading a lot of articles, posts and comments implying that Chrissy died of cancer because she didn’t discover it soon enough. Fact is - for you that don’t know - she had been dealing with MS for more than a decade. She then got breast cancer in 2010 and due to MS she could not receive traditional chemotherapy. Instead she had to have a a double mastectomy and follow-up treatment that has been going on ever since. So you could probably say she died of a combination of both.

As Rick Grossman - close friend of hers and ex-Divinyls bandmate - said in an interview from earlier today Chrissy was absolutely tired of being in the hospital all the time and made the conscious decision to not receive anymore treatment. He said that her spirit was unbroken, but that her body could sadly not hold up.

You can watch Rick’s interview with lots of fantastic anecdotes here.
